TRANSFORMING TRADITION.
We (Blair and Erin) are fourth generation farmers, who are carrying on traditions of our forefathers. Those traditions include working together as a family, maintaining high quality standards, and doing their part to feed the world. BC Angus was started to create new pathways that enable our children and children's children to carry farming traditions into the future.
From a young age, we both knew we wanted to return to our agriculture roots. Blair hails from a diversified cattle and row crop operation located just west of Adair. Today, we live on the farm established by Blair's great-grandfather. Erin grew up in southeast Iowa on a diversified swine and row crop operation. While raising and selling breeding stock may be new to Blair, Erin's family has been raising and selling premium breeding stock and show pigs for nearly 50 years. Although Erin is no longer active in her family’s swine operation, the lessons she learned and observed while growing up have been the basis of the operation we manage today.
We feel fortunate to carry on the rich traditions of our families while creating our own paths in today's world. The values and traditions of our farming heritage is something we hope to instill within our children, Maxwell and Mariah.
